WWII USS Essex Ace and Aircraft Reunion
WWII Navy Ace Donald M. McPherson, age 102, of Adams, Nebraska, taking to the skies on Friday, September 27th in a Warbird for the first time since WWII in Fagen Fighters Navy Helldiver. Air Force Lt. Col. Ray Fowler of Carrollton, Georgia, is at the controls.
EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2024
Fagen Fighters' newly restored Curtiss SB2C-5 Helldiver made its highly anticipated debut at the AirVenture 2024 event in Oshkosh, Wisconsin on July 24th. It was an exciting night for the entire Fagen Fighters team as Ray Fowler skillfully touched down on Runway 27 in Oshkosh at 7:10 pm in the Fagen Fighters Curtiss SB2C-5 Navy Helldiver.
On the following day, July 25th, the Fagen Fighters Curtiss SB2C-5 Navy Helldiver and the Republic P-47D Chief Ski-U-Mah II were showcased at the Warbirds in Review event. The panel discussion was moderated by Brig. Gen. Ed McIlhenny, ret., and featured speakers including Ron Fagen, Evan Fagen, Brandon Deuel, Chad Hill, and Ray Fowler.
80th Anniversary of D-Day
Fagen Fighters WWII Museum commemorated the 80th anniversary of the Invasion of Normandy, D-Day, on June 6th, 2024. We held a program featuring two WWII Veterans, and guest speaker, Capt. James (Jim) Johns, Ret. Local food vendors came, and Ron Fagen flew the BT-13.
